We are expanding our live recording package to offer a world class 24 track recording setup that can go ANYWHERE! Featuring tube mic pre's and top end A/D Conversion on EVERY CHANNEL!

In February 2005, We completed a remodel of our control room! Now a much more open feel, wider stereo image, and a laser accurate ASC acoustic treatment system! We got rid of the ADAT's as our main converters and replaced them with 24 tracks of MOTU 24/96 i/o + an 896HD!!!
In August 2006 we added a new centerpiece to our collection: The SONY DMX-R100 48 channel mixing console. We can't say enough good things about this Mixer!!! You will have to hear it to believe it. Come on by for a tour/listen!
Around the same time we upgraded our console, we added a 2 great new freelance engineers:
They have both completed training as interns at SCS. Now they are taking advantage of the great gear and atmosphere to create some great sounding demo's!!! Both are offering incredible deals on Demo & EP recording - for only a limited time! Contact them directly to schedule a meeting/session.
In 2007 we are planning to add several more excellent engineers, microphones and outboard gear!

Classes
32566 Basic Sound Engineering - Winter Term 2007
Classes Start Jan 6, Saturdays 11am-1pm. Email us for more info.
These classes are a very technical look into the world of Audio Production... Whether it be in the studio, live sound, Broadcast or film, you will gain a lot of knowledge on this subject!
These courses are almost entirely hands on experience. Lessons will cover microphones/cables/consoles/recording machines; type and use.
Classes welcome anyone interested in this art of sound production!
Workshops
SCS is currently looking for groups that want to record a quality demo over a 2 day workshop for only $150 (worth up to $800)!!!
This will be an entirely hands-on experience. There will be a limit of 4 students per Workshop. Students will track, mix, and master to CD a real band's Demo CD.
