Russell Vesely
Growing up in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, FL area has given Russell an opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of music styles and tastes. His listening habits reflect that diversity, with bands such as Tool, Men at Work, Alice in Chains, (early) Duran Duran, the Eels, Saigon Kick, Frank Zappa and Super Transatlantic to name but a few. In his spare time, he plays guitar and sax, and twiddles knobs to find new ways to make sounds do new and interesting things.
Russell enjoys finding the sound that best reflects what you are trying to express as a musician, or a voice actor, or a corporate video that needs bad audio cleaned up and perfected. When he's not doing that, he attends the University of Oregon, where he is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cinema Studies, which he wants to apply to working in the world of cinematic audio.
In fact, he worked in the sound department of a major motion picture that was shot right here in Eugene, OR, called "Something Wicked," starring Brittany Murphy. He also does audio editing and clean up work for an array of companies and individuals, such as teacher training videos, corporate voice overs...
Working at Sprout city, he has gained invaluable insight into the world of music and the business which surrounds it. In this line of work, he has toured extensively, assisted rehearsal and recording sessions, and better learned what an artist needs to produce at their highest and most efficient capacity.
