I have been living and breathing music of all kinds for most of my life. Studying favorite recordings, playing in bands, and making countless records along the way, my years on this earth have been blessed with an abundance of hearing, facilitating, and capturing great musical performances. Working as an audio engineer in Eugene for the past ten years, I’ve completed a wide range of full-lengths, Eps and demos for numerous reggae, hard rock, hip-hop, folk, blues and jazz artists. I have also recorded major audio book publications, guided meditations, and voice-over for video and web applications. In 2005 I earned a degree from The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, where I gained invaluable technical skills and industry experience, as well as software certifications from Pro Tools, Waves, SIA, and TC Electronic. I also earned a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas while serving as lead recording engineer for the KU Dept. of Music and Dance. I am currently the General Manager of Pro Sound & Video in Downtown Eugene. In my tenth year at Pro Sound, I’ve had the opportunity to become intimately familiar with vintage and modern audio gear, as well as cutting-edge recording and live sound techniques. I am exceptionally good at finding the appropriate “sound” for the project at hand, through a combination of equipment choice, listening, and technique. I am proud to be a part of the Willamette Valley music community, and to have worked with a huge number of local musicians in many capacities. I’d love to hear about your project, and talk about how I can help make it something special. I am qualified and happy to work as a tracking, mix, or mastering engineer (or all of the above!).
