How to Sing in the Booth
by Thaddeus Moore | Aug 1, 2018 | blog
The studio can be a scary place for singers, even for seasoned performers that are used to playing in loud bars to strangers on the regular. If you haven’t had practice recording yourself singing, it can be nerve-wracking. Today we’re going to explore some...Sprout City Google Reviews

Track work with engineer Christian Brown at Sprout City Studios is everything a recording musician could wish. Christian runs a well-prepared, smart, efficient session--also able chart-maker for those who read that way. Headphone presence from the booth is clear, concise, & comforting. Sensible pacing, work, breaks. Good sound capture, instant rough mix. All feels good; time goes by; you don't need ibuprofen the next day as microphones so often induce; payment is respectful and prompt. Thanks!!!

Thaddeus is an outstanding recording engineer, who gave his best to Kudana's recording project - and his best is very very good! On top of his technical skills, he was very supportive and calm, somehow managing to make 18 band members feel heard and respected in the mixing.

THIS IS A HIP-HOP AND R&B REVIEW: Easily one of the best places to record in the eugene OR area! I'm currently working with Raven having him mix and master my stuff and I gotta say he knows his stuff! I could say 1 thing about a voice EQ and hes already on top of it. His autotune skills are way above average and he knows what sounds good right now in present time. Overall I'm happy and will continue to work with Raven At Sprout City for as long as I can!

This studio rules. Has one of the best sounding rooms to play drums in that I've heard, as well as all other instruments. Super awesome and knowledgeable staff!

An extremely warm and open environment because of all the awesome engineers and the big man Thaddeus. If you want to learn audio engineering, practice with your band or cut a sweet record, Sprout will fulfill all your studio needs!

Thaddeus' "Fundamentals of Audio Engineering" course gave me everything I needed to test out (receive credit-by-exam) of Music Tech-111 at Berklee College of Music. Additionally, Thaddeus is an extremely engaging teacher, as well as a super nice guy with an insane wealth of knowledge. I've had the pleasure of working with him on several projects since taking classes from him, and have been continually satisfied with his work. Whether you are a student, hobbyist, or professional, Sprout City Studios/Liquid Mastering is your place for recording in Eugene.

My band recorded an album here over three days about a month ago. The experience was excellent and I cannot recommend this studio enough to people looking for a great product at a great price. From the moment we started discussing the project, it became clear that the studio was the right choice for us. Thaddeus Moore made us feel comfortable immediately. We talked about the project, listened to reference songs, and discussed the finer details at length. Thaddeus had helpful suggestions, but was also completely open to trying things he'd never considered before.During the tracking Thaddeus would give encouragement, manage our time well, and add much-needed humor during stressful moments. He's a very genuine guy and is extremely passionate about his work. That passion shows, as every member of our 8-person band was blown away by the way things were sounding during tracking. The mic choices and tonal decisions Thaddeus helped make were spot on, and the tracks sounded great pre-mix.We're currently in post-production, but I'm very excited to hear the final product. I know that Sprout City and Thaddeus have a huge part in the way it sounds, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
